Basketball players confirmed to make an appearance in NBA 2K18

NBA 2K18 release date is a month away and details about the game have started emerging. After the Canadian special cover announcement, 2K released some screenshots of in game players and tweeted about some of the new players that will be joining the roster. It's no secret that DeMar DeRozan will be present in game. After all, he is the cover athlete chosen for the Canadian game edition. DeRozan is 27 years ago and since his NBA draft in 2009, he is part of the Toronto Raptors team. He was selected as NBA All Star three times so far.

Screenshots depicting Paul George and Isaiah Thomas were released as well. George comes from Palmdale, California where he started playing basketball at the Knight High School. He started his NBA career in 2010 when he was drafted by the Indiana Pacers. Currently, George is playing for Oklahoma City Thunder. In NBA 2K18, he is wearing the Thunder uniform. Isaiah Thomas played for the Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns. In this season, he is part of the Boston Celtics whose jersey he is wearing in the game.

A set of screenshots were posted on Twitter showing some basketball players getting scanned for their NBA 2K18 characters. Dennis Smith Jr. is one of the youngest NBA players. He is only 19 years old, started his NBA career in 2017 with the Dallas Mavericks where he plays as a point guard. Lauri Markkanen comes from Finland, was drafted in 2017 by Minnesota Timberwolves and he was traded to the Chicago Bulls.

Lonzo Ball is another young NBA player who started his professional career in 2017 with the Los Angeles Lakers. Josh Jackson was drafted in 2017 when he joined the Phoenix Suns. Before that, he was part of the Kansas Jayhawks college team. De'Aaron Fox started playing professional basketball in 2017 for the Sacramento Kings. His college career lasted for one season as part of the Kentucky Wildcats team.
