NBA 2K21: April News
2021-04-15 00:00

Let’s start with a news that made Spanish food lovers very happy. Burger King, the fast food giant has signed a unique partnership with 2K Games that let players win real food by taking shots in the game. The first thing you needed to do in order to have a chance to win nice food items is to download The Menu Court in MyLeague if you play on PS4 or MyNBA if you are playing on PS5. A menu would appear on the court and all you needed to do from there was to score while standing on the item you would like to win and share the video on Twitter, using #BKMenuCourt and tagging Burger King and NBA 2K. The harder the shot the better the reward with shots from the middle of the court granting a full meal.

This campaign designed by David Madrid was aimed at the players living is Spain and is over since April 4 unfortunately. However it is interesting to see how video games can interact with real-life brands and social networks. The campaign was made in collaboration with two Spanish streamers in order to give more visibility to the event.

Our second news is about a new update that aims at riding the game of cheaters. This update was released in the form of a hotfix and according to unofficial sources, the goal of this patch is to fix the zen aim cheating issue. This cheat allowed players to score some points by exploiting a bug in the game. Two of the main developers for the game (Mike Wand then Ronnie Singh) have alluded to the patch, implying that the latest hotfix was indeed a way to prevent cheaters from using Zen to cheat. Let’s hope that this is really the end for this obnoxious cheat.
